Galvanize Named One of Canada’s Top 100 Employers for Fourth Consecutive Year

Vancouver, BC, November 13, 2020Galvanize, the global leader in SaaS governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) software, today announced it has been named as one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers for the fourth year in a row. The award is given in recognition of Galvanize’s exceptional workplace practices, including its commitment to workplace culture, employee engagement, and employee growth and development, as well as its pandemic response plan, which includes increased methods of employee communication and surveys on employee well-being.

“This has been a challenging year for everyone, and this award is a testament to how our team has been able to quickly adapt and rally together during this uncertain time,” said Laurie Schultz, president and CEO at Galvanize. “Keeping our employees safe, and ensuring they continued to be engaged and heard, is of the utmost importance, and to be recognized as one of Canada’s leading employers reiterates that our success continues to stem from the well-being of our employees.”

The award recognizes Galvanize’s commitment to its employees, which is highlighted through employee engagement and communication, as well as opportunities for growth and development. In-house and online training, including programs such as Change Agents and Emerging Leaders, in addition to ongoing budgeting for external training and continued education, are a few of the many examples that showcase Galvanize’s commitment to employee development. Maintaining a connected culture through the pandemic has also remained a vital part of Galvanize, with initiatives to promote employee engagement and socialization while working from home, including online game nights, happy hours, morning coffees, daily challenges, and talent showcases.

In addition, Galvanize’s COVID response plan allowed for an effective transition from in-office work to working from home, with minimal disruption to productivity. With employee well-being as the number one priority, Galvanize increased employee communications, with Schultz providing daily company-wide updates; global employee webinars also increased from once a quarter to monthly. Employee engagement surveys were implemented to evaluate stress levels and mental well-being. Throughout the pandemic, Galvanize has run wellness sessions over Zoom featuring internal and external presenters on topics like mindfulness and meditation, healthy eating, and virtual yoga and workout sessions. Employees continue to be provided with a collection of wellness resources that are free or covered by Galvanize’s extended benefits plan.

“It’s an honour to be named one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers for a fourth consecutive year,” said Keith Cerny, chief people officer at Galvanize. “Within this year of uncertainty, we’re proud to provide an environment that allows our employees to flourish and to continue the amazing work they do.”
